2000 A4 2.8 Quattro
I can get for $14,300 but it has 76,050 miles on it......one owner, the original owner was a pharmaceutical sales rep and drove all over the place. Does this sound like a good deal? Basically getting it at wholesale price.
Thanks

Are you mechanically inclined?
Ask for all records and maintenance history. That is at a mileage where a lot can just be worn out. You could be looking at several thousand dollars in repairs. On the other hand if you got the records and had the car checked out by a mechanic of your choice, go for it if it seems ok. Just be careful. Ran into a business associate yesterday at a dealer who has put $3K into repairs of his 00 2.8 since it was out of warranty. You tend to get what you pay for.

It's a good price, but realize you'll need to spend $1K to change the timing belt.
Not when the manual suggests...NOW. Timing belt failures are a problem with these cars...better safe than sorry.
A friend of mine just sold a '98 2.8 Quattro with 90K miles (belt not changed) for about $13K for reference.

I had TB, water pump, & all rollers and tentioners, plus all fluids done for $800...
That all may be standard for the TB job, but just posted that to say a good German car shop can do it cheaper than the dealership. They wanted over $1200.
