Default if they ship it over here don't they have to mod for US emmissions...?

Im not saying the thing is going to fall apart, but its like a rule of thumb to wait a few versions so they can work out the kinks. It would suck to have to bring in the car for tiny little things...I don't know about everyone else but the less I have to go to the dealer the better. I've already had to call AoA and drop the hammer on one dealer...its just not fun.

That may be possible for the 3.0, but the 1.8t is the same engine as in the previous car......

Default Something may come up something may not...it could be on the body, interior...etc.

definately not the number one reason to not buy a car or even close, but it should be something to consider while spending 30 grand on a car...thats a lot of money...Unless you are Kobe...(please see posting of his house)...thats alot of money for most of us...or enough money to be careful while sending. Buy freely, have fun, but Im just saying becareful.

Default Saturns on fire was an extreme example...

As I said. Another would be the 4 wheel steering Preludes, there were numerous small issues with that Prelude during the first year. Expecting anything to be error free right off the bat, even with a short run in Europe is not wise. There have already been reports of 3.0 engine problems which are being sorted out now. It's hard to tell what will crop up when the car hits massive distribution in the U.S. especially with changes mandated by U.S. emissions, crash worthiness, etc. I'm not saying they'll be catastrophic problems, but more likely than not there will be at least a few niggles. One should consider that possibility and weigh the value of having one of the first ones to hit the U.S. vs. the minor irritation of dealing with typical first year bugs, etc.

Default You and I are saying the samething, but no one seems to get it

We just trying to tell you to be careful...buy with your head not with your jock...Its like a one night stand...once you've done it, you cant give the virus back...there is a no cooling off law in Cali...and good luck trying to envoke the lemon law...so an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...SHIET..I sound like my dad now thanks alot....uuurrrggghhhh!!!!!

2001. Sorry, but the 2002 just don't look sporty. They look like a A6. And I hate the A6!
