Default i was referring more to the GLI owner saying the car felt stock

the xchipped cars hit like a hammer compared to a stock car.

Default Hitting "like a hammer" depends on the program...

...there are newer versions of the flash that smoothed out the power delivery so that it doesn't "hit like a hammer". My X-chip program was the lastest file and it was definitely MUCH stronger than stock but power delivery was apparently much more linear than previous versions.

Also, the '04 Jetta GLi had the 180hp 1.8T so it was a bit peppier than a stock 01 A4. Besides, you can't really go by what someone else "feels". For all you know, the Jetta guy bought his car used from some old lady whose son chipped it without her knowing. Anything is possible *shrug*.

Default Comign from E36 M3 @ around 220 WHP/TQ , and 240sx with 250 WHP/TQ

Guess most figures listed for the AWD vehicle are at the crank. It's been a few years since my B6 3.0 6mt so hard to compare.

I'm sure the chip on this car is "old" - installed in 2005 as a "hand me down" from someone else...

Don't get me wrong, car feels strong in 4th/5th, and pulls with a decent amount of torque. I'm also sure me learning to drive it (the clutch isn't slipping, but engages SOOOO high in the last inch of travel; original @ 134k) takes some time. I'm sure output is limited by my small snail, and the Garret t25 I came from is "big" in comparison...

Appreciate everyone's input.

Ryan

Default Lol...yeah, I'd say that's substantially more than a chipped A4. *edit*

If you take a look at DVS's sig you can see his 2000 only puts out 165whp with a chip.

*edit* Also, if the car actually pulls in 4th and 5th it's almost definitely boosting more than stock. If you had driven the car bone stock you'd know what I'm talking about ; )

Default I am not talking about HP but torque rather.....

the x-chip for the 2001 has always been boost heavy with a quick spool. All stock 1.8Ts are much more flat in the torque department compared to a chipped car, no matter the make.
