Default 225 / 50 / 17" too big on 17 x 7.5 MOda R6's?

i want a larger height of the wheels so i dont have to worry so much about the rims bending.. but is 50 too much or will it rub? thanks. Also, are there any lowering shocks that are covered under manufacturers warranty? If i put 2001.5 sport shocks & suspension, is that covered at all? because i have a 99 A4 sport out of warrnaty but w/extended warranty, & i know those companies are kinda sketchy on aftermarket things. they wouldnt cover a lot of probs b/c they said my car was lowered which caused probs, such as engine mounts going bad, and a couple other things...

yeah, 225/45 is not such a low profile afterall, just be sure to keep them tires properly inflated.
