3 beeps and the BRAKE light on the dash flashes - what gives?

3 beeps and the BRAKE light on the dash flashes - what gives?
It's happened 3 or 4 times in the past month, often when I'm driving up a steep hill. BEEP BEEP BEEP and the BRAKE light flashes half a dozen times or more; then it stops and all is well until the next time. Ideas?

more info...
as your brake pads wear, the pistons compress, displacing more brake fluid from the reservoir. When you drive aggressively, or on steep hills, the fluid will shift in the reservoir, possibly triggering the low fluid warning. It's normal, just go to your dealer and ask them to top off the brake fluid.

When's the last time you had the brake pads changed?
If you are low on fluid, your pads are probably worn down (unless you are leaking fluid, but you'd know it if you were). You should definitely have someone look at the brakes before you begin to dig into the rotors.
