Default 5spd transmission, noisy?
is the 5spd transmission known to be noisy when shifting. For example, when I shift into gear and release the clutch, if my windows are down, I can hear a clunking/clicking. Seems to shift alright, but just wondering, because I've got a new short shifter and I don't want to install it if the transmission is already acting up.

Default i think i'd check the fluid level...
only problem i've had in 144Kmi is a leaky front seal.

I hear that clicking too when windows are down. I thought that was normal.

I haven't had any problems either, unless this is one Any 5s care to comment. Noise or No noise?

After a little searching, it seems the tranny "thunk" is normal, if anyone cares.
