Default 98.5 30V with 205k miles/Auto Transmission

I am just wondering what the list opinion is on how much more mileage I can get from this car.

Oil gets changed every 7500-10000 miles with Getty brand regular oil

Air filter gets changed when the car runs poorly - about every 40k miles

Minimal oil burn, no smoke, pulls well

ATF changed twice at 60 and 120k miles

TB changed at 90 and 180k miles

Default 7500-10k miles is really streching it IMO. Have you had the oil looked at by a lab before?

Blackstone Labs charges $22.50 and has about a 5 day turn around.

I'd encourage you to send them a sample and see what they say.

Default I had 7500 mile oil tested on my '91 CQ and it was fine.

Lot of highway miles as well.

Okay, what does that have to do with your A4?

Default Unknown, but seems you haven't killed it yet

Keep it up, you may hit 300k. If not, well, it's done good service already. Wouldn't hurt to get that oil tested at least once though, for curiosity's sake.

Default Okay, but that's not this particular engine. Quite a gap in time for Audi to change

redesign, and improve their engines.

You can't assume similar oil samples simply because the car has the same brand name on it.

Plus, stop using such ****ty oil.
