went down to the local hop-up shop today. they quoted a 850$ labor fee excluding taxes and fluids for a clutch install. that price is with me giving them a clutch and flywheel, and they dont guarantee anything unless it is OEM. just wondering on what prices others have gotten just for the labor. at 117k the car still has the stock clutch.. pretty impressive if you ask me. josh

and he'd be worth it for the piece of mind, but obviously you can find much cheaper. look around.

yea i had a long convo with this guy. he def knows his stuff he has been racing for a number of years but its still a track race car driver telling me what to do with my street car so i am figuring its going to be a little off. i than went to another place and the other owner of the same shop i was at before was there and he told me that was about the right place but informed to put a stock fiber clutch plate and than put maybe a stage 2 or stage 1 pressure plate with it to give it a little bit more bite and strength, but something i could drive around a lot more easier. all i really want is something that is easy to drive on on a daily basis and in traffic, but something i could also have some fun on at nite when i get to smoke some rice burner. i was also told that when you replace the clutch you also have to replace the flywheel and they go for around 800$ i have yet to do my hw in that department yet but let me know if that is a correct assumption. thanx josh
