Default A4 1996 Green Plastic Window Guides (long)

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/7171/windowguide11.jpg"></center><p>
Hi there:

The two green plastic window guides (see pic)in my front passenger door have broken and I am having trouble locating the parts. I have tried two Audi dealers; neither could help me without the part number (which could not be identified from the service manual). Of course, they wanted to sell me the entire regulator assembly ($). One dealer had a box of window guides but these appeared to be the wrong parts (they were blue plastic and did not even closely resemble the original green part.)

These same guides were mentioned in a thread earlier this month but there's no indication of where to obtain the part.

Does anyone on this forum know where to get these or have a part number? -TIA

Default I've replaced them and the Tech said they were available seperate

You use to have to get the assy. to get them. I don't know the #,the tech gave me some extras.

I got 'em from the tech at a dealer. You can order them from the dealer.

Default No luck finding them for myself.

I got the same blue pieces, those were for an A6.
Dave said he got some extras, but I never was able to track them down separately. I ended up buying the complete regulator.

I didn't see any part number on the individual piece, so I don't see how they could sell them separately.

Default Dealer came through with a "regulator repair kit" ... I'll post the part number and cost.

Supposedly this contains the green plastic slides and some other hardware. I'll try to post a follow up(part number/cost)after it arrives tomorrow.
