Hey guys i have a 99.5 A4 1.8T i finally got some money and i want to get a cold air intake i been looking around but am not sure if i should go with the Evo motorsports intake or the K&N one. which is better and what the different. what one also sounds nicer.

Love my Carbonio, other then that I would not recomend changing it
everything else is just a "hot air intake" and will really hurt performance more then anything, VERY noticeable in the summer heat.
so, carbonio or nothing, and I'm sure many on this board would still tell you nothing.
definately hear the turbo tons more with the carbonio (assuming chipped)

Because the stock box is more than efficient for the stock turbo...
also it's taking in cooler air from the outside, not the HOT air from inside the engine bay.
The only time you really need one of the open cone filters is when you move to a larger turbo. Even then, without a proper heat shield you still pulling in hot air.

Don't waste money on intakes, get the APR Stage 1 chip and a 710N diverter valve. But before that..
