A4 specific Digest?

Do we need e-mail digest in addition to this forum
I, for one, don't really see the need. It's pretty easy to hook up to this forum and scroll through to see what is of interest.<p>I'm on a digest list for my Toyota MR2. It's kind of a pain, even in digest form. About 98% of the posts are junk, in my opinion, and I would expect the A4 list to be similar. Imagine everything you see in a forum here appearing in your mailbox, approximately 20 postings per digest e-mail message. That could be untold dozens of e-mails per day. Of course, the digest might have more limited interest and therefore fewer subscribers, which would make it more manageable. However, what makes this forum better is the number of people, skills, experience, etc. that the probably hundreds of posters represent. It seems like creating a digest would dilute the benefits available from the forum by drawing a few people away.<p>However, maybe a "special interest" digest would have possiblities, like 1.8T engine upgrades only, or whatever. But again that would take away from this forum for those that want to stay here.<p>But it's not up to me!<p>Dale

But this works so well...
Having been on the BMW digest turned crygest and the BMW E30 mailing list, I gotta say I like this format. My mailbox would fill up with the dumbest things. Much faster to scroll through this forum which has a few guffy items also but a lot of really good stuff. I'm content.
