I am in the process of a trailer hitch install on my '99 A4. The instructions with the DALAN hitch (and info from a A4.org archive search) say to remove the bumper after loosening the mounting bolts by 'pulling out and up' on the bumpersides close to the rear wheel wells and pushing
the bumper forward to release the attachement clips.....Well I've pushed, pulled, and sworn profusely, but the bumper just won't release at the sides. Is there a trick to this?

Any wise words would be appreciated...the motorcycle can hardly wait for her first ride on a trailer!

I have recently install one myself.

Remove the bolts in the trunk and slide the bumper as far fowward as possible.

Lift the bumper up at the front near the wheel arch and there is a clip about 4 inchs back the hold the bumper on.

Once you have uncliped the bumper it should slide off.
