Default AARRGH!!! Wife hit gate to driveway-help!!!

My wife told me tonight that she hit one of the concrete posts for the driveway when she got home. After looking at the once pristine car, I am wondering if there is a way to repair the plastic front bumper without replacing the whole thing? It is not cracked but has rub marks and a sort of bubble where it was pushed. Any help or suggestions on repair would be appreciated. I want to say upfront that I am gonna keep my wife!

Default not sure if this will help...

is the bubble like 'pushed paint'? -- it's hard to sdescribe but i think u know what i mean....cuz there's nothing you can do about that except carefully pick that piece off (i am assuming) and maybe touch it up.....it's hard to say without seeing it, but the marks on the bumper...if they are on the paint, then you can use clay to rub them off -- but that also removes the wax on the bumper so you'll also have to touch up the wax....i know tons about the clay and some really good wax/polish if u want...

don't know if that helped...

more like pushed plastic, I can't believe it didn't crack! Then again if she had been going fast enough to crack it I would be afraid the airbag would deploy...That would be just what I would need on top of it all!

well, then all i can suggest is maybe trying to file it down for aesthetics... but you're right, having the airbag deploy is the last thing you wnat to have happen - esp for a frivilous fender bender -- $$$!

good luck with that...hopefully your car is a darker colour (i'm canadian!) so you can't notice it as much
