Default ABS module
My break light is blinking and my abs light is on, the dealer and a private mechanic both say there was no communication with the module, and it could be many differnet problems, do you think this is the module or pump or speed sensor? they want to charge me 200+ dollars just to tell me what is wrong with it, any ideas?

Take the $200 and get the module rebuilt asap. Search my recent posts, I just had mine done.

Default you need to find someone with a VAG-com tool and have them run the code for you.
dealer is trying to rip you off. it would take them 5 minutes to tell you whats wrong with it

incorrect- VAG cannot communicate with a dead ABS computer

Default someone told me that in the B5's the pumps go more then the modules themselves
it was a module rebuilding place that said the pumps fail more in these cars

it will tell him if its only a bad sensor, which is sounds like its not but still
