ABS sensor problem?
I'm getting some funny break noise when I slow down, either right before the car stops or when going into a slow turn. Don't get it every time though. So I'm thinking this is an ABS sensor problem (it sure sounds like the ABS). If so is there anything I can do -- like cleaning the sensor? I don't have a VAG -- would it tell me something?

Another odd B5 ABS flaw is when one of the rear tone rings cracks
sure fire way to **** off the ABS system. Really best diagnosed with an oscilloscope and rotating the wheel... looking for the strange output at a particular angle. Failing access to a scope you can remove the axle or yank the sensor and look really carefully for the crank. that is of course if you have a localized fault.
