Default ABS WARNING system failure

Many of us have experienced the ABS and Brake Light warning system failure. Some owners have managed resolved this issue by themselves in cases of when the ABS sensors where out of alignment, dirty or replacing the elecrical wires leading to the ABS sensors. However there have been cases of those who have been asked to pay up to $2000 by dealerships (stealerships) to have the ABS control module replaced. Those who still had warranty coverage were lucky otherwise this had to be an out of pocket expense. I for one will have to pay out of pocket.

This problem occurs at random and the duration varies. Whilst warning lights are on, braking performance is diminished as EBD is disabled and there is no ABS. I reported this issue to AoA and nothing was done. Therefore I propose we report this issue to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
For those who are interested here's the link for filing this issue online your VIN number might be required for further investigation.

nhtsa(National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)

Or you can call them on 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236) and a NHTSA representative will record your complaint information.

I HAVE FILED MY CASE

Default have you also had the sticky throttle body problem yet (aha problem)?

yes the ABS system is expensive to replace... but there is a place that remanufactures them for about $250 iirc you might search for it.

I havent experienced the sticky throttle prob yet

So lets get the Hundreds and Hundreds of those affected to file this issue since it'll be forwarded to AoA as well.

Default Question about this problem

I bought the car with the light on from a "friend." He said he had the light turned off like 3 times and it keeps coming back on. His mechanic told him he has no idea why it would keep coming back on. Am I in the same boat as you guys here? If I am, what are the possible problems and how would I go about fixing them?

Thanks
