AC Moldy Smell
Hello,
I have a 2003 A4...
What is the best way to fix a Moldy A/C smell coming from the vents when you first start your A/C...AUDI service sprayed something in my vent but had no effect on making the smell go away...ANyone have any advice.

I have the same problem.....read ===>
I too thought the pollen filter. Getting into a HOT car (not even started yet) you can smell it. Turns out that on the B6 the door panels are SOOO tight to the door (metal) that water collects UNDER the bottom of the rubber seals. Run your finger as if to separate the rubber and you will see water and feel it come out. I use Lysol spray under all of the doors. Works for me.

Turn the Compresser off...
Switch to Econ mode a few minutes before you shut the car off. The odor is from the moisture from the compressor. If you go Econ mode for a few minutes, it should evaporate all the collected moisture.
