adding amp

i heard that just adding an amp to the stock audi stereo greatly improves the sound quality of the stock speakers. is this true? if so, what kind of amp should i get? will adding an amp require changing the head unit or buying an equalizer? please email any info that you might have to bingk@msn.com. thanks.

I am currently adding an amp to my bose system to drive 12" JL's

adding an amp will give you more controlled sound. it is very simple to add one to the audi cars. the radio has preout lines just not in RCA connections what you can do is get a simple line o/p converter to make them rca then add the amp to the car.

i will have more info on this once i am done with my install
