Default After seeing Kris Hansen's post about greasing the CA's ...

I was wondering how often you should do this? My new kit has been on there for about 15K miles and want to make them last as long as possible.

How often?

What oil? Mobil 1 grease?

Thanks guys.

Did you do the K. Hanson grease fitting mod before you installed them? If not you're SOL.

Default I try to do them at least every other oil change, or more often once they get older....

Granted, it's best if you have put grease fittings on the arms. It is possible to do this with a needle into the boot, but you do not get enough grease into the socket with that method, and that's where it needs to be.

it's a bit of a trick getting the fittings to stay, there is not a lot of material to tap there. But a bit of epoxy does help.

I drilled through the side dogbone, worked. Orient them to rotate w/o interfering with steering.

Default In any event, unless the joint is very loose, you'll be hard pressed to get any grease in there...

quite unlike the other 3 arms, the lower front is REALLY tight in there.
