Default Aftermarket Blow Off Valve

I have a 96 A4 2.8 turbo car, factory turbo, that I'm wanting to install a good sounding blow off valve on. I have never done this kind of upgrade before. All I'm wanting is the big swish sound. Anybody know if the ebay blow off valves are any count and is it possible to do this to this car and if so how???

Not that it would be an upgrade, I understand that. I want the sound of the BOV on my car. Would it just take the place of the wastegate or is there a factory BOV already on the car?

A wastegate and a BOV are totally different animals. The wastegate allows exhaust gasses to bypass the turbo to control boost. A BOV or bypass valve releases intake pressure when the throttle shuts to prevent turbo stall. Because air is metered before it enters the turbo, the factory bypass valve dumps the intake pressure back into the intake system. A BOV dumps to atmosphere, resulting in a rich condition on deceleration that can cause any number of poor running issues.

Just install some huge dubs and a giant wing and call it a day. Skip the "cool noises".

Or buy this:

He means that your '96 2.8 doesn't have a turbo, therefore no wastegate, and no need to worry about a BOV.
