Default Damn...looks like you had repeated detonation from the look on the top of that piston

Are all PES kits doing this?

Default mine Detonated until i got a lower comp ratio

i know of a few others who have had similar problems.....

in my two years of dealing with this problem it seems the main problem is that the the 91 octane causes a slight amount of ping &amp; that triggers the ECU's defences by adding fuel &amp; retarding timing. because the car is running on such a fine line, the A/F &amp; timing window for the car to run properly is smalller than the ECU is aware of &amp; when it adds fuel &amp; retards timing it causes a downward spiral until the car has no timing &amp; blows black smoke out the tail

Default Charlies car seemed to ping much more then any of the others.

1-bars car seemed to run great till he had some issues. So he took off the T28 kit and sold it then put a K04 on which still had issues, which ended up being that he had a burt valve and had Dynamic Racing Solutions do a valve job.
