i know of a few others who have had similar problems.....
in my two years of dealing with this problem it seems the main problem is that the the 91 octane causes a slight amount of ping & that triggers the ECU's defences by adding fuel & retarding timing. because the car is running on such a fine line, the A/F & timing window for the car to run properly is smalller than the ECU is aware of & when it adds fuel & retards timing it causes a downward spiral until the car has no timing & blows black smoke out the tail

Charlies car seemed to ping much more then any of the others.
1-bars car seemed to run great till he had some issues. So he took off the T28 kit and sold it then put a K04 on which still had issues, which ended up being that he had a burt valve and had Dynamic Racing Solutions do a valve job.
