All right... who has the black 98 2.8 that parked next to me in Manhattan parking garage ?
I drove into Manhattan yesterday afternoon for work, and I parked my car in one of three park-and-lock garages that I use. (8th Ave between 53rd & 54th) I passed up several open parking spots until I found one that I liked.
(i.e. NOT between two cars)
I saw it -- a car was getting out of a corner spot. So I pulled in. And I pulled in at an angle, nose toward the corner, outside the lines, to allow maximum clearance between my passenger side, and the car next to me.
Perpendicular to my car was a new Chevy Tahoe, taking up two spots. How rude, I thought.
But then I saw the Bellavia licence plate frame, and I didn't mind so much anymore, and figured this guy was an enthusiast about his truck.
So today I went back to my car. Sure enough there were no scratches or dings on my passengers side. The Tahoe was gone. And in its spot was a black 1998 A4 2.8. Whoever owns that car is an enthusiast just like I am, because he or she also parked at an angle -- with the nose into the corner, to allow max clearance with the car next to it.
Just wondering if the owner of that car is on this board. Nice car ! And excellent parking job! :-)

98.5 Pelican Blue 1.8tqms GIAC 1 bar, APR exhaust, etc.
PS While I was leaving that parking garage, I saw several REALLY nice cars ! A few TT's, a 911, an assortment of BMWs and Jaguars...
I figure that my A4 was in good company. And the best part is that no incompetent valet attendant ever drove my car. :-)
