All those with coil-over suspension, especially H& R c/o's
How is the ride quality? I've heard from _____ (don't wanna name the place) that coil-over suspension is inferior, basically, to say, a Bilstein shock and spring combination. I've heard the coil-overs offer a a wobbly ride on A4's (I've got a 98' A4 1.8T FWD, btw), especially when taking turns, or turns that have bumps and wavy characteristics. Is this true? Also, I've been told that it is difficult to adjust the c/o's so that they are even in alignment, whereas Bilstein's give a comfortable, firm ride with no wobbliness.
Aw'ers, please let me know if this has any truth to it, because I have H&R c/o's on call (been waiting for weeks for some reason...) and am seriously contemplating a return for many reasons. I know many of you out there have c/o's and/or Bilsteins, please compare your ride now with suspension mod with your stock suspension (especially if you had sport, stock suspension before hand). Thanks guys, important call in my book. Don't want a regretted mod.

BS
I went from stock non-sport to H&R sport springs with Neuspeed/Bilstein Sport shocks, and now H&R Coilovers. The CO's are superior in EVERY way. The ride is actually "smoother" while handling and cornering is improved. Get the H&R's. You won't regret it.

Agreed!
Don't take your car back to whomever told you that line...they are full of BS! The "wobbliness" they describe is a result of a bad alignment. I had that with my Bilstein/Eibach set up, so I think I know exactly what they are talking about.
I had stock sport, Bilstein/Eibach, and finally H&R coils. Got_root is correct, they will give you a firm ride with better performance and smoother ride quality than a Bilstein and XXX spring combo. This is most likely due to a matched shock and spring.
Cancelling that order will be a mistake...listening to that idiot will be a bigger mistake.
