Default Is it alright to go for a 1.1 Bar chip with stock exhaust and a K03???

I was told by my local installer of Wett chips that they only install 1.1 bar chips on cars with new exhausts because unless the exhaust is changed the back pressure will destroy the turbo...

Any truth to this???(I am waiting for Wett USA to call me and I am debating between going back to 1 bar or 1.1 bar)
- Anand Dhanda

Default seriously, just get the 1.1 and exhaust...no point in risking it. otherwise, i'd say get the 1.0 bar

Default Yes, I've heard that giving the turbo too much boost without...

...improving the breathing results in much higher temperatures for the turbos; to the point where it's too much if you drive hard. Based on what I've heard (and I have no actual experience!), I would stick to 1.0 bar max without doing the exhaust. At 1.2 bar, I'd probably do the headers and larger turbos also, but that's me! Why risk melting the turbo?

When you do larger turbos you don't need to go to high boost.
