Alright...need some pre Stg3 help. Figured out Software/MAF problem.

And boy was I wrong. Feel like an ***. Diff. shop told me GIAC. Whatever. Im SURE about everything else on the car though.
Please bare with me here...
I FINALLY got a hold of a guy at GMG who knew. The car has the AMS StgIII program, not GIAC. Its the K04 software they offer apparently. I was also told it not meant for a 3" MAF. It was recommended to me to " Install stock injectors. stock maf sensor and disable the boost controller get a GIAC chip for a K04 car and that should solve your problems".
However, I plan on going with a GTRS kit soon, which would obviously include everything above in some capacity. Should I bide my time until then or try to fix this now? Car runs fine. Idle is slightly off and we are running rich. Is there a temp. fix to this?

Cool, thanks. When I was looking at this car when the GMG guy had it for sale, I was wondering what
that was.
Good luck getting it up and running with stage III. The car looks great with the S4 interior/exterior.

Im not sure. Thats the problem though. No access to VAG near here. I'll be...
getting a copy soon but I would like this resolved ASAP. AFR metter read quite rich however. Fuel economy has gotten worse recently as well. Cleaning MAF and TB helped but didnt fix entirely.

what turbo are you running? you say stage 3.... but aren't you just on a k04?
i would see if paul858 can chime in, he was the posterboy for ams... he knows quite a bit about there program

Yes but this is all in transition to Stg3. Install is set for Jan.08. or so.....
I want the car to be in perfect running condition before Stg3. My bro and I have done wonders so far but lots to do still.
