Default Am I driving an A4 Lemon?!

I need to know if I'm having more problems with my 98.5 A4 2.8 q than the average person. So far, these are my problems (53k on odo):

leaky power steering hose
broken sunroof guides
leaky sunroof gasket
chipped sunroof ****
rusted throttle cable
leaky rear stub axle seal
leaking water pump - replaced
leaking water pup - replaced again!
worn tie rod ends
engine oil leak - under investigation
need new rotors and pads (probably normal)

I contacted Audi's Client Relations Department who said, thanks for the letter but...

I think my first Audi is also my last.

Any similar experiences?

Default Completely normal...

Personally, Other than the smooth ride, and good looks, my car has been beyond the shadow of a doubt the biggest piece of **** I've ever owned.

So far I haven't seen puddles on the ground. I noticed it when I took it to my neighborhood mechanic for an oil change. When he dropped the shield under the engine, it had a glob of oil and the engine was wet. The Audi dealer cleaned the engine, tightened the oil pan and told me to come back in a week.

Default Factory hose clamps are crap, they use crimp on types...

which give after awhile. you may be even able to twist some hoses. You will notice this with all the connections (oil cooler, power steering, cooling). Try replacing all these with the screw down type which will allow you to have leak free connections.

Ill have to agree - the A4 excells in some aspects but suffers in mechanics.
