Another suspension upgrade question
I'm non-sport and need better handling/less body roll. Problem is my wife drives the car most of the time and prefers that soft feel. I do have final say, though Can I achieve what I need by simply upgrading the sway bars? Or can I use my stock springs and just install some HD Bilsteins all around? Cashflow is also an issue, but I gotta do something.

Heres an idea!
You can grab some bilstiens and keep your stock springs, but if your going to spend the money for bilstiens, you might as well grab some aftermarket springs. You can find a nice package from around 300-400 depending brands and usage, you and your wife will love it, better to just do it right the first time! Good luck with it!

My wife was the same way about her S4......
she wanted it lower just a little, and the ride better be exactly the same!
I got her Bilsteins & eibach sport springs. Aside from the ride height (grooved bilsteins) there's no difference. You'll notice it from the non-sport though, but I'd say look into that setup.
Sway bars, I'd recommend the H-sport. Very hi quality, nice stuff, good price, & easy to install. Plus, they have grease zwirks on the brackets, so you don't have to remove them to grease the bushings. but if cashflow is tight, might want to save this for later.

used factory sport springs with Bilsteins.
The shocks will make a difference but the springs are way too soft. I put the factory sport suspension on my car. It can be a bit stiff once in awhile but for the most part it rides fine and the handling is night and day improved. It's about .75" lower. That factory sport shocks are pretty worn out now so I'm going to get the Bilsteins. I am going to try and get a ride in an AWorlder's car before I do it though. Just to make sure. If you are doing your own install then you can play around a little bit but if you are paying the labor then do shocks & springs at the same time. Otherwise I gaurentee you will be paying the labor twice.

I too had the comfort suspension
And upgraded to non-Bilsteins and H&R Sport springs. Great combo by the way.
My wife does not enjoy the ride, but it is my daily driver.
I would recommend changing the exhaust (which I did to Brullen). Then she will complain more about the sound than the ride!

For comfort, stick with Koni's.
They're a bit pricier than the Bilsteins, which is why you'll obviously get more recommendations on them, however in our opinion they are just less comfortable than the Koni's.
You can fit the Koni's with virtually any spring, OE or aftermarket since they're adjustable for rebound damping.
They won't change the ride height any, so if you also want to lower the car, consider lowering springs. Genuine sport package springs would be the most conservative, while H&R, Vogtland, and Neuspeed offer quality sport lowering alternatives.
We offer a wide variety of suspension options, so feel free to email us if you have further questions.

I didnt put aligment price in there, installation is easy, you can do it yourself or with a friend.
I got my neuspeed springs free on a job trade and bilstiens used a bit for 200. Not a bad deal huh? Gotta surf around, check out ebay!
