Any body know what the recommended RPMs are for 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear in a 2.8 manual during breakin?

Keep it under 4000 rpm in all gears for 1st 500 or 1000 mi. Then gradually push the RPMs up until you reach 5000 mi, at which point it should be fully broken in. At least that's the advice I was given.
