Default Any new parts needed when getting the GIAC chip?

I have a 2000 A41.8TQ w/ 5spd manual transmission. Im going to get the GIAC chip, I was wondering if i needed to change any other parts to support the high boost when running the with chip. Someone told me i need a better diverter valve, what is that? and where would i get it? is that a must when getting the GIAC chip? Also can the dealer tell that i have installed the GIAC chip? Thanks

Default with the additional boost you are going to blow through your bpv very quickly.

for an inexpensive option go with either the TT valve or the porsche valve. You can do a search for part numbers. or you could go for a rebuildable metal valve such as forge, baileys, turbo xs, stratmosphere, etc. These have the additional "convenience" of being servicable. As far as the dealer knowing you have a chip, if they drive your car they will know. But the Giac chip is socketed so you can open up your ecu and replace the giac chip with your stock chip, and unless your dealer opens your ecu they won't be able to tell.

Is it hard to install the valve? What tools do you need? do you know of any websites that have instructions?

Default its pretty easy... though its different on my 97 so do a search or ask around to find out where it

is exactly. You only have to undo some clamps and then put in the new one, took me about a half hour.
