any way to tell if WP has been done?
Dealer says "I think it has" but frankly that's not good enough for me. Is there any way to tell for sure? Thanks. What are signs of a bad one anyways?

Well the guy who actually sold it to me was nice, but..
They have his son or something (who's like 20) working the counter who's a total *******. He said "yeah I'm pretty sure it's been replaced, when we do the timing belt we will check it"
Of course before he had said their policy was to replace any item that was at "50% wear or more" before selling the car so in theory both should already be done. At any rate no use complaining now, just better hope the damn thing has been replaced

"50% Wear" sounds shady to me.
What do they base this wear on? I've never heard of a WP wear scale based on exact percentages, or any sort of scale for that matter. They should have a work record if they did repairs to the car before selling it. See if you can get that.

I don't have a clue in the world what they base it on but
there should be records I can get somewhere. Is there any way to just look at the thing and tell if worst comes to worst?
Thanks for the advice
