anybody got pic and instructions on how to install the K&N Filter on the 1.8T??

modernperf.

There are instructions and pictures in the "engine" section of the FAQ. Hope that's more helpful.

Remove the black plastic cover off the top of the filter box.

Remove the metal heat shield, located between the filter box and the turbo. It is held in place by 4 philips screws.

Undo 4 clips on the sides of the filter box. Make sure you find all 4.

Pull the top of the filter box with everything attached to it up just enough to pull the filter out.

Place the K&N filter back, thick side down. Make sure it is seated straight.

Put the top of the box back on, snap all 4 snaps, put the heat shield and the palstic cover back.<p>- boris
