Default seriously...

try the TT forum, the 180 has the same exhaust manifold as we do, and plenty of those guys have ported and extrude honed their manifolds.

Default also do a search...

i had my manifold extrude honed in a TT forum organised group buy...i believe the numbers were 15% greater flow. same size ports...not a real "porting"...just smoothing.

Default I didn't find any cfm #'s when searching. Also, I am really looking for #'s after porting, not...

just honing. Thanks.

Default well the stock manifold seems to flow well according to ATP

"In addition, we found that the slight taper designed into the runners of the stock manifold promotes exhaust gas velocity even further. Further testing resulted in a much quicker GT28RS turbo on a 1.8T engine, at least by 300 rpm faster than any other off the shelf GT28RS turbo driven by an aftermarket manifold on the original T25 flanged turbine housing."

Default that seems ...questionable.

the stock manifold is so horribly gasket matched it probably cancels out any improvement in air velocity.

if what ATP says is true, you'd still want to gasket match and smooth the manifold some.

Default it is always good to question...I'm curious to see 1/4 times and dynos

of the first few people here to get the ATP stuff and keep the manifold stock.

Then again, you never know what ATP does but if you follow their directions, they never remove the stock manifold for install.

Default obviously nowhere near what a "complete" GT28RS kit will get you

I personally don't see the point in paying $1300 for a turbo that will flow efficiently up to 400ish HP and only get 280 out of it. I'll gladly pony up the extra $$ for a fully working kit that'll get me 350hp on a solid pump tune and up to 400 on a race tune knowing everything works well together.

Quick Reply: Anyone have flow bench #'s for a ported 1.8T exhaust manifold? SPP or other?
