why pay $5k+
the shop i talked to is gonna tune it and do the labor for free all im paying for is their cost on the parts. im gonna be the test car since they want to market a kit as well =)

Best solution...
Sell your car and buy a nogaro blue S4. You won't have any regrets. If you decide to pay $5k for a paint job, you may want to kick yourself in the *** later down the road. Just my .02. BTW: interesting 1st post.

well you see I have the means, the knowladge and the time to strip it down completly, like literally to the unibody and doors and bumpers and bonnets, because cars are what i do for a living and a hobby 
so you know how it goes. i also guess i could have introduced my self, I dont know why i never actually registered before but I used to own a 99 A4 1.8t and a 00 S$ oops i mean S4. i sold them both last july when i got out of the army as the wife and i both took big pay cuts, oh well tho, i kept all the money parts from the A4 except the ko4 kit, and sold the S4 with about 13k in upgrades

I am into the whole hardcore rock crawling thing and thats what i have been focusing on but now i am gonna step back into the audi world and get another A4, i am thinking a 99 but never really know, seeing as i still have the stock S4 nogaro front bumper i want to go crazy with the new one and match the whole car, my freind owns a high end paint shop so the only real task would be getting the genuine audi paint. Great site guys, who all is from the PNW.

P.S. whats the word on the new turbo kits coming out, any speculative HP numbers
