anyone know how to reset the ecu without using VAG COM?

Default anyone know how to reset the ecu without using VAG COM?

the CP lifted off of the head somehow and lost contact with the spark plug...ECU recognized it and shut it down....i need to reset it...any fuses i can pull? Any tricks or help would be great! Thanks

Just disconnect the battery and do a hard reset by touching the - and + together.

Go into the engine module, click fault codes, then click clear codes.

Default nevermind...just yank pull the ECU out of the car, and put it back in 15 minutes later.

When you put it back in, turn the key to the on position, wait 3 minutes before starting, and do not touch the accelerator pedal. This should allow the throttle adaptation to finish.
