Anyone know the outcome of C&D comparison test?
I believe there is supposed to be a multi-car comparison test pitting the A4 1.8TQ against the BMW 323i, Saab 9-3 and VW Jetta VR6 in the April issue. The people at Bimmer.org have been looking forward to this report to claim another victory over Audi, but one guy over there is quoting an A4.org member who claims that the 1.8TQ beat the 323i. Anyone have the real scoop on the Car & Driver results?

Pure speculation so far
There is a string below - but I think it's all speculation. I own both cars so hope they finish 1-2. I don't know how they can include the 323i in the less than 25K category though - I paid $29K for mine, with about 1/2 of the available options. I haven't seen a test yet where A4 beat 323i - which is how I would rate the cars as well.

Ya know, I'd be disappointed if a good company like BMW couldn't take first with a new design.
It's called raising the bar a little higher for the next guy (e.g. Audi) to take a shot at. While I can admire the new BMW, there are many reasons why the Audi is the right car for me. No dweeb pointing to a C&D article will change that.

Look for the results on C&D TV on TNN this weekend!
Car & Driver TV will air the test on Saturday 1:00pm EST on TNN. The show is pretty lame except that you get to see the cars in motion instead of only in static photos. The show airs again on Sun at 2:00 PM EST and Mon morning at 1:00 AM.

Yes I am serious.. I have the issue right infront of me..
Audi beat BMW in things such as, handling, driver comfort, features and amenities, value and also styling...<p>The issue also has a neat comparison of all the dash lighting.. Guess who came out with thumbs up again.. A4 and also the Infiniti,,<p>Dmak 1.8TQMS

By the way, what's wrong with the Jetta GLX VR6?
