Good Question......Seems like we don't have any around here.... Actually I am looking for a reputable paint shop, and can't find any either.

I'm having a set of Bilstein's and H&R springs installed in about a week at Autobahn Performance in Peabody, MA. On Route 1, south side.

They deal ONLY in Porsche and Audi. Very high quality workmanship.<ul><li><a href="http://www.autobahnperformance.com">http://www.autobahnperformance.com</a</li></ul>

Default Do I have to order my parts from them or can I just bring them in and have them install?

Also how much are they charging you for the install if you don't mind me asking.

thanks

Default Just called 'em

They want 8 hrs to install the suspension @$65/hr if I supply the parts, $55/hr
if they supply them. And $125 for alignment. Does this sound kinda steep?

Yeah, it is steep, I went through the same dillemma when I agreed to their prices. However, remember that it's a 4 wheel alignment and I can tell you it's not like having it done at Sears.

I went with them because a friend of mine uses them all of the time and I've seen the quality of their work. Not to mention I ordered a bunch of other stuff and it'll all show up at the same time.

Convenience has it's price, I guess.

Default yes but

They did mine and I thought it was steep, but it was worth it. You might save $300, but if someone messes up your suspension, yikes. Everything I read on this board made it sound like it wasn't trivial. Just buy your parts at shox.com

Right, everyone I know loves the end result. They just don't like paying the premium.

Also, they are a tirerack distributor and can sell at their advertised prices. I'm getting a set of borbet rims and Yokohama AVS Sports for a price that blows NTB Away.

Like I said, convenience...at least for me.

Default Had mine installed by Direct Tire in Norwood

I would have considered Autobahn, but I live on the south shore. Direct Tire did the job for about $450 including the alignment. They have locations in Watertown and Peabody also. They have free loaners if you reserve one ahead of time.

Also, Barry, the owner, has hosted the NE A4 Performance Events for the past two years.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=161"</a><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/a4registrydl.jpg" BORDER=0></a>
