Default just remember sheet aluminum absorbs heat and although it releases it fairly quickly

it still allows heat to transfer through. You need a material that doesn't just act as a barrier, but also one that will reflect it. At speed the intake side of the shield remains cool but once you slow down, stop and go a simple sheet of aluminum just doesnt' cut it with high boost on the stock k03. A sheet of aluminum cut to fit snug against the hood liner, firewall to the radiator support. Then add a layer of aluminized glass cloth on the hot side to help reflect as much heat as possible.
