Anyone with painted lowers?
Has anyone painted the plastic lower part of their a4 to match the top? If so have you noticed any problems with chipping? I was planning on painting the black plastic trim silver to match, but didn't want problems down the line. I heard the trick is to make sure it gets sanded down nicely?

the trick is to use flex agent in the paint
you have to make sure the shop does good prep work too. I had my lowers painted almost a year ago and they're holding up just fine. For the rear, get an S4 rear valance if you can. It looks the same as the A4's, but it comes primed and ready to paint, without the orange peel texture of the A4 one. It'll look better when painted, especially with metallic paint.

Re: the trick is to use flex agent in the paint
I've wanted the s4 rear bumper or valance for sure considering when I picked up my car used there were a couple tiny dents in the bumper. What is the best place to pickup the rear bump and/or valence for an s4?

the rear valance and the bumper are separate
you can get either of them from your parts department. The actual bumper is the same as the A4's. It's just the lower piece that's different.
