I am buying a 323i and I want to see if I will be getting my *** kicked by you A4 guys at traffic lights! Hopefully, not!
I am an A4 fan too, just had to have the latest German compact around and that happened to be the new 3. If A4 had a new body and 3 series didn't, I would have got the all new A4.
Ciao guys.

As Unabimmer has stated in the past...
he is considering an A4 as his next car...seems like a pretty good reason to me.
Please do not take offense, but it sure does seem like you are trying to stir up the pot and you have posted essentially the same post before on various archived boards only to get a ton of responses, some flames, and then get upset...give yourself a break from the flamewars.
Kirk

Depends on driver ...
The 0-60 numbers are fairly close for the new 323 and the 2.8s. That would probably make driver skill the most important factor. I agree with the previous post that racing is best kept to the track or controlled areas between friends. Stoplight racing with strangers can get out of hand and is pretty juvenile IMO.
I hope you enjoy your 323. I have had my A4 since July and love it more and more every day. As with others, my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy. What is it with these A4s where we place such importance on them.
For those ordering A4s, keep the faith, it's worth the wait. I waited 4 agonizing months for mine.
Mark (98.5 2.8 QMS)
