Default Anyone running the PES supercharger?

I've got a 99 2.8 V6 and am noticing a real lack of hop up parts for the 6. The supercharger seems to be the answer, but what sort of improvements in acceleration should I expect? Will my 0-60 time drop near the 5s? What sort of quarter mile time can I expect. I will be leaving the rest of the car bone stock. Will the transmission, clutch, and quattro system hold up?

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Default Well....

for starters the PES kit will put you into the 5's and I suspect easily the 14's for the 1/4 but I have yet to run. The car will hold up fine but without a suspension and brake upgrade the kit is dangerous in my opinion. Too much power to not be able to control and stop the car as well as you can accelerate it. A clutch might be an issue (it was for me) but Rob has no problems with his OEM so it really depends on how you drive. The SC would be the last mod to do after suspension and brakes...seriously.

Default Re: Anyone running the PES supercharger?

I'm not so much into drag racing as I am into roll on power. The suspension on my car does just fine, and the brakes aren't bad either. But tossing on some cross drilled brembos when upgraded pads isn't too tough. The supercharger seems like the way to go, too bad you can't shoehorn an intercooler into the engine bay.

Default The brakes and suspension are not for the track...you don't realize how quick the G2 is...

you will find yourself driving much faster and "quicker" than before...and you will get yourself tinto spots that only brakes and suspension can get you out of.
