About two years ago my poor 98.5 2.8qts got sideswiped and it was totalled by my insurance carrier. It was originally my wife's car but I stole it every chance I could. She wanted a Honda Element to replace it so I bought her one, but now I miss the A4 pretty bad. I just sold my daily driver and we're doing the exchange this Saturday. Once done I'm going to have 7k max in cash to find myself another A4.

Cars.com and Autotrader list a ton of them in that price range, although most are in the 100-140k mileage range. I don't really care about the mileage as long as I can determine that it was well maintained.

I wondered if any of you are selling an A4 or know someone who is, in the PA area that might meet my specs below. I'm following up on two leads that I saw, but if you guys could help me get back into an A4, that would be awesome. I listed my requirements below. Thanks!

Requirements:

Maximum 7k purchase price.
Within 2 hours drive from Reading, PA.
98-99.5 model year (want the 98+ interior and don't want the 12v 2.8)
1.8 or 2.8, either will work for me.
Black or Silver exterior.
No cloth interiors.
Wagon or Sedan, doesn't matter.
5-Speed only.

Preferences:

Mileage does not matter, but if it's really high mileage I'd feel better if there were some maintenance records.
Black interior preferred, not crazy about tan.
Prefer unmodded. I'm assuming modded would likely be out of my price range anyway.
Sport package preferred, but more concerned about the sport steering wheel than the suspension, as I'll eventually swap that out.
