Default APR chip not working?

I got an APR chip, not so long ago, and at first it was great. But a few weeks ago, I could have sworn I noticed a decrease in performance. I'm not sure if it was my imagination or not, but it feels like its a lot more lethargic than it was at first. Anyways, yesterday I raced my friends Talon TSI from a rolling start (around 25 mph) and then my other friends Eclipse GS-T at a redlight. I got beaten really badly by the TSI, and then horribly beaten by the GS-T. To add insult to injury, the GS-T is automatic, and the TSI is completely stock. When we regrouped they each asked me why I wasn't racing! They thought I wasn't even trying! Whats wrong with my car? Is the chip faulty, or do I need to change my spark plugs or something? Help me out here.

Default Are you sure?

Because according to this site, my car weighs around 3000 lbs, and the TSI is an AWD model which weighs around 3000 also, if I'm not mistaken. And this is the old body style TSI with the 195hp/203tq. engine. I should be faster than the TSI since whatever advantage he had with AWD is negated because of the rolling start. My engine should be putting out more power as well with the APR chip. And I figured I'd lose to the GS-T, but you have to understand, I lost by an incredible margin...as in, he's down the road and I'm still at the stoplight.

Default isn't the TSI rated at 210HP? the GS-T was also a 210HP car

there are several things to check, namely your boost levels and gas. For whatever reason the A4 is much more sensitive to gas than any other car I've ever driven; I really couldn't tell the difference performance-wise between premium and unleaded plus in my Integra, but you can sure tell the difference in our cars, even stock. The ECU does a good job of reducing the timing to compensate for lower octane fuel.
Otherwise, I'd check for possible leaks between the intake to turbo and turbo to throttle body. It's not uncommon to pull an intercooler out of an A4, pour water through it, and see water gushing out of the sides of the endtank.

no...do you think my chip is screwed up? It should be flucuating around 14.7. Oh by the way, to clear things up...the GS-T is 2nd Gen. with 210 hp. The TSI is 1st Gen. with 195 hp.

Default Something is wrong

I raced a 97 TSI rated at 210 H.P., and beat it by 2 carlengths at only 75 MPH. I have a 2.8 V6 30v, FWD also and a stick, your car is light and chipped should at least stick with a TSI, I have a neuspeed chip K&N and remus but still only may add another 10-15 H.P. Personally I have heard so many bad stories about APR, neuspeed is much better and more dependable. Check your car out or send the ecu back to APR.

Check ECU for error codes and also check the plastic blow off valve ( not the correct name ) , they are known to fail on a lot of cars particularly chipped ones.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS GET A GIAC CHIP
