Default apr chip question: is the fault code erase/ throttle adj.

worth getting? i spoke to a person at apr and he said that the fault code that come up when you switch ecu's are the same when you disconnect/connect the battery, and the fault code will/should dissapear in time...if so, why get this option? i'm on the verge of ordering another ecu/apr chip and wanna get everything i need but at the same time minimize the damage...any thoughtful opinions would be very much appreciated...tia

Default i didn't get them --

but if you get the APR chip and new ECU combo.. they will be able to see that the power for the ECU was out when they check the car... maybe even see when the power was out (i'm not sure), i would be careful
if i ordered a new ECU, i would get FCE - i didn't so, i just took my chances and saved some money
i dunno about throttle adj. - they were not able to "sell" it to me, so i didn't buy it. He could give me a reason to have it.

If you are getting a second ECU you are better off spending the $ on VAG-COM software.
