APR exhaust: Would more people buy it if it wasn't all stainless, and thus less money?...
Having recently tried to take the APR exhaust off my totalled A4, I noticed that it had turned a rainbow gold color during the past 4 months. I wish they gave us an option of stainless or not. I personally don't give a rats *** what it looks like at all...it's under the car! I'd gladly pay $200 less for just plain old T-304(or is that stainless?)

Is the APR Exhaust Recommended over other Exhausts on the market???
I told APR to put a stage 2 software on my chip because I was going to get the exhaust after winter.
Is it possible to go with another vendor that has similar performance (flow) characteristics?

Other than the tips, I rather it NOT be polished, for one aesthetic reason...
From the back, the polished muffler actually makes it HARDER to see the tips, and pulls your eye to the end of the muffler instead. Distracting IMHO. If it was unpolished like the stock stainless, then I'd imagine it would be cheaper, but i can't say for sure. polished finishes cost money I'd think.

Hey Scott...>
Tell your buddy that I'll sell him my ECU with the APRv3 w/ cold weather program for $1000. It's $1179 from them plus $50 shipping and 3 days down time. So he'll save @$230.

By the way, I don't believe there is a difference between Stage 1...
and Stage 2 software. Stage 2 simply means you have the chip AND exhaust as opposed to just the chip. The chip's mapping is different for different intake flow characteristics in order to map air/fuel properly. There is no reason to remap with a higher flowing exhaust as the computer reads the intake side when the turbo works better on a more open exhaust.
