APR stage 3
#3
the chip (software) is integral to the kit...
if you are stage 1 apr then you get a remote programmer as well with the kit. The kit already comes with octane appropriate programming (depending on what the octane in your area is; 91 or 93).
I do not believe there is a "stock" or valet program for the SIII...but you can get pump and street programs.
Cheers,
Sameer

If you are nDBW you get two slots in the ECU. If you have the home programmer (as Sameer stated part
of the kit 'price' if you are upgrading from Stage 1 or 2)you select which two programs are in those slots. You'll want the tamest in slot 1 because if the ECU looses power it automatically reverys to slot 1 on re-powering. I sometimes run 91 in slot 1, 100 in slot 2 or othertimes 93 in slot 1 and either 100 or 104 in slot 2. This depends on what pump is in the area I plan to be driving. Washington has 92 but Montana has 91.
If you are DBW your ECU will have 4 slots so you can run 91, 93, 100 and 104 and merely select between the two.
That said, as of this writing, the DBW, inline software has only 91,93 and 100 and to my knowledge isn't 'finalized'. The prior generation DBW software had all 4 but they (APR)have not yet released updated software for the new generation wastegate actuator.

I think ... all Stage 1 or 2 customers, whether EMCS or prior, get all available EMCS options and
the programmer. "* All Stage 1 and 2 customers receive all EMCS options and an EMCS programmer with the purchase of Stage 3." (quote from the provided link)
IIRC, if you are not a prior APR chip customer, you will have to purchase the programmer, TBA and fault erase seperately if you wish them. To my knowledge, the Stage III program files are all 'bundles' that include the octane specific files available for the specific kit.

Copy is here
