APR stage III
Did a preliminary order on my stage III kit tonight. Have to call back on monday to finalize ECU programming but at least I am on my way! I currently have a K04/Garrett setup and plan on doing some performance comparo's(I'll note testing temps but that is as scientific as this will get)on my testing stretch of road. The K04/Garrett setup is really quite a good middle line set up. I have had not one bad experience with this set up despite some bad press. If it were all true I doubt Audi would be using the K04 and putting a 100,000 mile warranty behind it. Anyone interested in this set-up in their car? I'll even warrent the K04 for six months. Any A4 owners in the Denver, CO area want to see the APR kit up close and personal I'd be glad to show it to you after it is in!

Re: APR stage III
Hey just out of curiosity...did you ever use a different program with your K04.
I've been kinda wanting to try out Garrett's code on my K04 setup...I'm starting to get the feeling the Neuspeed code may not be entirely up to snuff. That's not to say my car is slow...it'll pretty much whip *** on a chip only setup...but I was expecting a bit more in the higher gears.
I really wish MTM did a K04 code for a simpler system aka stock cat ect. I'd love to try that...but I don't think they have anything like that.
Thanks and Merry Christmas,
James R.

Re: APR stage III
Yes, at first I was running a TAP stage II chip, then the Neuspeed K04 chip and then finally the Garrett software. Seat of the pants told me Garrett best by far, then the TAP II(it was a K03 chip) and then the Neuspeed. I had the car dynoed with the Neuspeed/K04 and it was a joke. 171.2 hp to the wheels. Use to have the dyno posted on clubb5 until all of the sudden they started they decided Neuspeed was the best. I don't have a dyno for any other set up but I am sure the other two chips would kill it.
