Audi A4 B5 oil pan baffle

How important is the baffle in the oil pan? say you replaced the oil pan and broke the baffle? is that something i can go without or that i should replace?

it depends if you’re going round turns or not. Going without will starve your engine of oil when going round turns. If you drive straight then you’re all good.
