Audi A4 Engine Light
- Engine Light Signals for; the EGR valve...stating that it was not creating sufficient vacuum pressure; Code P1340 / P1392 stating that the "harness connection on the camshaft position (CMP) sensor -G40- loose or corroded due to moisture in the harness connector.
- The engines "oil" light has flashed (and stayed on) on two separate occasions, but when towed to the local repair shop on a flatbed truck the oil pressure problem vanished (i.e. the engine pressure was sufficient when tested).
- When called upon, the heat through the vents in the cabin (i.e. dashboard, defrost) are running much cooler (approx. 60 deg.) when the setting is placed at 85-90 degrees. But, the cars temperature gauge reads normal (top dead center) after sufficient warming which leads me to believe that the thermostat is operting under normal proedures. Also, the oil temperature gauge reads approximately 170 degrees (i.e. in the 10 o'clock position). But the center of the dial is set at the 250 degree mark.
Unfortunately, I have had the car at several locations (including Audi certified mechanics) but no one has been able to define the problems. At this point, my wife is concerned about driving the car and blowing another engine because of the lower oil temperature, and is also concerned as to why the heat will not reach the climate control temperature when asked.
At this point I am open for discussion. Also, correspondence can be forwarded to bdeichler@sunflower.com. Thank you to anyone who responds in advance...Brett
