Although it's not the same standard as purchasing an Audi from a dealer, has anyone explored purchasing a second model or "fixer-upper" through a government auction? If so, what kind of price range did the vehicle fall under?

I stumbled upon this web site a few weeks ago looking for a M3 for my brother, its www.ecocar.com
They had salvaged A-4 and other exotics that were there for the fixing. Prices included.
