Car and driver did a nice little article on the value, fit and finish and handling of the A4 Quattro compared to a few others cars around the same price. Audi 1.8T's are hard hit with the lack of power issue. What they don't let their readers know is that for $250 - $600 anyone can chip their A4 very easily.Chipping besides being the best bargan for a performance upgrade on an A4 (in my estimation), transforms the car into one that will eat up and spit out most 6cyl cars that cost a whole lot more.Something most of us would agree to I think.

The other qualities, that they found more important, are harder to get through modifications.<p>You are right that it is down on power in stock form, but I would still prefer it. If you want power get a Z28, it has 285 HP at the wheels. That is only an extreme example to highlight a point.<p>Todd W
